The sculptures were all inspired by nature and human nature. My intent was to visually communicate things in our everyday lives in an organic way that is not recognizable to the viewers. I wanted to focus on creating these sculptures to be intricate and exciting to look at for an extended period of time. I decided to include materials that I have not worked with very much to push myself to master something new. I felt the work was making a bit more innovation than I could have used if I had more time to work on it. I want to keep exploring these mediums further as I go through my next classes and on my own time. I want to learn more about organic sculpture and how to create things out of the ordinary. These pieces have been able to let me explore a medium I have not worked with before and create a new strength in my book I can use.
